“Playing a musical instrument can relieve stress, enhance creativity and has the added benefit of making you look super cool”.

The Importance Of Music Education

  • What if there was one activity that could benefit every student in every school across the nation?

  • An activity that could improve grades and scores on standardized testing?

  • An activity that would allow students to form lasting friendships?

  • An activity that would help students become more disciplined and confident?

Fortunately, there is such an activity. Music education greatly enhances students’ understanding and achievement in non-musical subjects.Participation in music also boasts social benefits for students. Music is a way to make friends. “Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. A high quality music education should engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. As pupils progress, they should develop a critical engagement with music, allowing them to compose, and to listen with discrimination to the best in the musical canon.”
